Before & After: Thank God It's Friday Five

(Wheel of Fortune fans will get my blog title today.)

1. What I'm Reading: The Wettest County in the World: A Novel Based on a True Story by Matt Bondurant

It's about moonshining in the Appalachians.  And was written by the grandson of one of the main "characters".  Historical fact/fiction about whiskey: of course I'm loving it.

While searching for an image of the book cover, I discovered that it is being made into a movie starring Shia Lebouef. Um...I'm unsure how I feel about this.

2. What I'm Listening To: NPR podcasts.

"Fresh Air" is my new favorite long run buddy.  I've also recieved tip that "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" is entertaining.

3. What I'm Watching: Lady & the Tramp

One of my sweet Valentine's (my sister) gifted me the 50th anniversary edition.  Classic story of downtown boy and uptown girl.  Sweet puppy love!

Random embarrassing fact: While in middle school, I was the fish in a "We are Siamese" skit at a pep rally in front of the entire school.  2 girls dressed as siamese cats chased me around as the song played. I have no idea why that awkward freak show was intended to pep.

4. What I'm Eating: All paleo!

Lots of avocado, almond butter, meat, and veggies.

5. What I'm Pinning: Even more Paleo recipes.

roasted pepper chicken salad in avocados

grain free bagels
pad thai
Happy Friday!

What do you have planned for the weekend?
I may take Lola to the krewe of barkus parade and possibly go out of town for other Mardi Gras celebrations. Also, I plan on making my first paleo dessert!
