The Friday Five (Hungover Edition)

Last night I had so. much. fun!  I haven't had a chance to upload my pics, but when I do I will share exactly what I did.  Hint: A lot of fist pumping and a very famous DJ with a blow-out was involved. :)

Needless to say, I'm moving slow this morning. The problem with having that much fun is it leads to drive thru food (ahem, Canes) and a very late bedtime.  This WOD was on my agenda for the day, but I feel, well, like poo.  My plan is to super hydrate and see how I feel after work.

On to the point of the post...The Friday Five:

1. What I'm Reading: State of Wonder
source
So far, so good.  The story is intriguing and I'm anxious to continue reading.  The characters are likeable and I feel invested in the outcome.  These are the things that make a book good.   Read Amazon.com's description of the book here.

2. What I'm Eating: This recipe from Bon Appetit.
Chicken Under a Brick with Avocados and Chiles
source
I cooked it on Sunday and have been noshing on it all week.  It's very similar to the Chicken Under a Skillet recipe from Southern Living that I love so much.

Also, a lot of fruit.  Cherries, peaches, strawberries, and blackberries (my favorite!) were all too cheap to pass up.  I told myself I didn't have to eat it all, I could freeze some for smoothies, but I'm out of zip-locs and haven't had time to get to the store.  Slowly but surely, the fruit is disappearing.

3. What I'm Watching: Another week of no TV.

Who Am I?  But I'm so excited for the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games.  I cannot think of a better way to spend my Friday night than on my couch in sweats watching team USA in London.

Newest addition to my running playlist.

Happy Friday!

What are you reading? Eating? Watching? Listening to? Pinning?
What are your weekend plans?
I have my first long run of half marathon training (only 3 miles) and a Paleo seminar on Saturday.  Also, bathing my car and my dog and cutting grass.  Whomp, whomp.

  1. I actually don't have any weekend plans for the first time in a few weeks! I'll probably go to the gym tomorrow morning, then I've got some cleaning to do (boo!). Enjoy your weekend!

    1. I'm still only half way done. I thought I would have time to read this weekend, but was sucked into the Olympics!
